POSITION PURPOSE

The Supervisor, Building Systems & Security Technology provides leadership, technical oversight, and system administration for enterprise building systems, physical security technologies, and administrative services platforms across multiple locations. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, integration, governance, and performance of systems including building automation systems such as HVAC and other operational technology environments, physical security systems such as access control, video surveillance, and Security Operations Center platforms, as well as enterprise systems including the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) and physical security incident reporting systems. The position supervises personnel supporting access control and security systems while establishing standards, maintaining system configurations, and ensuring data integrity, access governance, and compliance across platforms. This role partners closely with Information Technology, Facilities, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment, system interoperability, and operational effectiveness. The position provides technical governance and coordination of system-related activities. Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

How You Contribute to the Company's Mission in This Role:

  • Supervises and directs the daily work activities of assigned staff, including workload assignment, prioritization, and performance management

  • Provides oversight of the performance, availability, and reliability of enterprise systems supporting Administrative Services operations across multiple locations

  • Establishes and enforces system standards, configuration controls, and governance processes to ensure consistency, security, and compliance across all supported platforms

  • Oversees identity and access management processes, including provisioning, role-based access control, and access governance across enterprise systems

  • Administers and maintains system configurations, user access, roles, permissions, and data integrity across assigned platforms

  • Provides technical governance and oversight of building and operational systems, coordinating maintenance, repair, and operational activities through Facilities personnel and vendors

  • Oversees the administration and continuous improvement of enterprise platforms including the Integrated Workplace Management System and incident reporting systems, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and alignment with operational and compliance requirements

  • Serves as an escalation point for complex system, integration, and performance issues, coordinating resolution across Information Technology, Facilities, vendors, and other stakeholders

  • Oversees system lifecycle activities, including upgrades, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and technology strategy

  • Coordinates system-related initiatives and directs vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed in accordance with scope, timelines, and performance expectations

  • Partners with IT, Facilities, and other business stakeholders to ensure system integration, interoperability, and alignment with operational needs

  • Identifies opportunities to improve system performance, automation, and operational efficiency and supports development of standards, policies, and long-term technology plans

  • Ensures adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards, supporting documentation, reporting, and audit readiness

  • Communicates system status, risks, and initiatives to leadership and stakeholders and ensures alignment with business objectives

  • Performs other job-related duties within scope of responsibility as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Facilities Management, or related field required.

  • Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a degree.

  • 4 years of experience in physical security technology, building systems, facilities systems, or related IT or security functions required

  • Experience supporting enterprise access control, video systems, building automation systems, and/or identity and access management operations required

  • Experience leading projects or directing work of others required.

  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills with the ability to manage technical and operational staff

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication

  • Strong understanding of identity and access management principles and governance practices

  • Working knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, and operational technology environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage competing priorities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and system reporting tools required

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues through coordination and escalation

  • Ability to establish processes, standards, and controls across multiple systems and sites

  • General working knowledge of building controls, energy management systems, and automation technologies sufficient to oversee technical operations and vendor activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with enterprise platforms, system integrations, and vendors preferred

  • Experience in regulated environments and audit and compliance processes preferred
