Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. Through this model, the Club generates economic and social value for the community and supports the HKSAR Government in combatting illegal gambling.

The Department

The IT Change Department is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of all IT change initiatives, whether using agile or waterfall methodologies. It is supported by a robust IT Change Management Office (CMO), which oversees the entire process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Key responsibilities of the IT change department:

The Job

  • Act as the subject matter expert for the Club on system integration and data conversion in the RTA revamp project
  • Lead and oversee the integration design for the RTA revamp project, and manage the RTA vendor for end-to-end system integration deliverables
  • Define the data conversion strategy, and collaborate with HR, key business stakeholders, and the RTA vendor to align on the conversion scope, approach, and success criteria
  • Responsible for leading the legacy data extraction, leading 2-3 developers to deliver the extraction program on the legacy RTA system following the RTA revamp project planning and requirements
  • Responsible for leading the RTA extension re-factoring, leading 2-3 developers to deliver the RTA extension re-factoring & development to fit the modernised RTA platform
  • Work closely with Architects & RTA vendor to define the RTA technical solutions, integration design and data conversion strategy that should meet the Club IT governance, architecture and security requirements
  • Act as the primary technical contact for HR, key business stakeholders, Club internal IT teams, and the RTA vendor in the RTA revamp project

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of work experience in IT projects implementation, with at least 5 years in leading teams of developers and external vendors to deliver mid-to large-scale enterprise solutions
  • Proven experience in large-scale ERP implementation and involvement in data conversion, preferably with HR & Workforce system implementation
  • Experience with SaaS implementation, preferably participation in an end-to-end project lifecycle
  • Preferably with HR domain knowledge and experience in HRMS & Workforce Management implementation
  • Solid experience in system development with C#, Java, preferably with knowledge in development framework (such as ASP.NET MVC)
  • In-depth knowledge in system design, software development and testing process with a good understanding of SDLC methodologies
  • Broad architecture skills, covering application and integration design
  • Knowledge in DevOps, CI/CD
  • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors, Event Driven Architecture, and Solace integration would be an added advantage
  • Excellent in writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English, Cantonese and Putonghua
