Reconciliations & Monitoring Associate
The Reconciliations and Monitoring Associate is responsible for daily reconciliation of general ledger and internal DDA accounts, research and clearing outstanding items through journal entries. Reviewing department inbox and assigning to appropriate co-workers. Retrieving and distributing daily reports. While working under supervision, this job supports other banking professionals to ensure that critical tasks are completed on time.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Reconciles general ledgers and internal accounts to ensure accuracy of all financial records and identifies and resolves discrepancies.
- Provides solutions to client, branch, and banking inquiries, and escalates issues when necessary.
- Research and resolve outstanding items on reconciliations, prepare clearing journal entries for processing.
- Review department inbox daily and distribute emails accordingly to the appropriate staff member.
- Retrieve, review and distribute daily reports from TRIPS, World Market, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in research and reporting, including analyzing data and managing end-to-end report distribution processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple reporting deliverables in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with account reconciliations, including identifying discrepancies and ensuring accurate resolution in a timely manner
- Prior banking experience with an understanding of debits and credits, account structures, and transaction processing
