Tasks and Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the Project team to the Procurement organization.
- Support Project Success and BU Goals through contributing to a Safe project, delivering on schedule and budget, monitoring and controlling supply risks, ensuring compliance, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining quality.
- Attend weekly project management meetings to fully understand project scope, Resale content with ‘as-is’ risks and installation schedules with critical milestones
- Lead weekly project meetings to review Procurement Plan, Tracker, and Command Center data.
- Work with sourcing Category teams to identify qualified sources of Resale equipment to develop the Project sourcing plan.
- Prepare Procurement plan for Category teams to populate project sourcing plan
- Communicate supplier lead times to develop equipment ‘drop-dead’ order dates to ensure equipment is ordered with sufficient time to enable on-time supplier deliveries to project schedule
- Give direction to Tactical Procurement team for project-specific expedites, maintaining supplier delivery dates and aligning SAP delivery date to project schedule. Attend Gate review meetings and demonstrate Project Procurement readiness. Alert team on any Procurement related issues.
- Attend Gate review meetings and alert team on any resale-related issues
- Conduct supplier gate reviews (based on content/risk) with key/critical suppliers per check-list
- Track negotiated resale savings (net of increases) to determine Procurement savings – this includes comparing “as-sold” Resale content budget compared to resale purchase actuals. Work with Project Finance for alignment.
- Perform as the main Procurement liaison between Project Management / Engineering and Installation for project related activity.
- Conduct post-project reviews with the Project Team and develop pro-active solutions to supplier related concerns for future projects.
- Budget cost responsibility for the 3rd party suppliers
- Within the post-project reviews, conduct a Procurement Lessons Learned with the Project Team and develop pro-active solutions to supplier related concerns for future projects.
- Travels to the installation sites or supplier sites required (up to 10% of working time)
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related discipline.
- 1-3 years of project-based Procurement experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in procurement processes
- Experience with SAP and MS Office
- Able to be effective in a remote, global, and matrixed environment.
