Job Description
Through structured rotations, trainees will transform and analyze information to generate insights, improve operational efficiency, and support business priorities. The program combines hands-on experience, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to prepare participants for long-term career growth within Oriental.
This is a hybrid position based in Oriental Center, San Juan, PR.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Generate Insights to Enable Better Decisions
Transform and analyze datasets using analytical tools to support business and operational priorities. - Enhance Data Processes and Automation
Contribute to the development and optimization of pipelines, reports, and dashboards to improve accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency across teams. - Ensure Data Quality and Reliability
Analyze datasets, identify inconsistencies, and uphold high standards of data integrity and governance in a regulated environment. - Improve Operations Through Data Solutions
Identify opportunities to streamline processes using analytics and automation, driving more efficient ways of working. - Collaborate Across the Organization: Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives.

SKILLS
- Analytical and Data-Driven Thinking: Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, and generate insights that support decision-making.
- Attention to Detail and Decision Making: Ability to validate, reconcile, and ensure the quality and integrity of data used for reporting and analysis to make well-supported recommendations.
- Technical Data Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of SQL, Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI. Exposure to scripting or automation tools (e.g., VBScript).
- Execution and Accountability: Ability to manage responsibilities, deliver results, and maintain attention to quality and deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Structured approach to identifying issues, evaluating alternatives, and recommending practical solutions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work across teams and communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.
- Learning Agility & Adaptability: Demonstrates curiosity, openness to feedback, and the ability to quickly learn and adjust in a fast-paced environment.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
- Recent Graduates: Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the last 24 months are preferred.
- Fields of Study: Degrees in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Math, Economics, or related disciplines.
- Experience Level: Prior internship or project experience is a plus; strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities are expected.
- Work Schedule & Location: This position operates in a hybrid environment based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
- Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the US required. This position is of indefinite duration and requires candidates to have permanent work authorization.
