About the Role
Consertus is seeking a Construction Scheduler to support Los Angeles Metro with scheduling services for a major Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) capital project—North Hollywood to Pasadena BRT. This is a heavy civil infrastructure assignment with scope anticipated to include civil construction, utilities, roadway/roadwork, and pavement activities. This role will develop, maintain, and analyze detailed, logic-driven schedules to support planning, progress tracking, and schedule performance reporting. The ideal candidate has strong Primavera P6 capability and prior experience supporting BRT/rail/transit projects and CMGC (Construction Manager/General Contractor) delivery.

- Salary Range: $176,800 – $208,000 annually
Essential Job Functions
Develop and maintain integrated, logic-driven CPM schedules (Primavera P6) for heavy civil infrastructure work.
• Build schedules from scratch by coordinating with engineering, project management, construction teams, and contractors.
• Cost-load and resource-load schedules as required; develop time-phased forecasts and cash flow curves (as applicable).
• Establish schedule baselines; perform schedule updates and variance analysis against baseline and key milestones.
• Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and support evaluation of schedule changes, delays, and recovery plans.
• Review and analyze contractor-submitted schedules; provide comments, identify issues, and coordinate corrections.
• Track critical path, near-critical activities, constraints, and key interfaces across disciplines (civil/utilities/roadwork/paving).
• Prepare schedule narratives, dashboards, and briefings for project leadership/executive stakeholders.
• Support schedule-related documentation for claims avoidance, change management, and reporting.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project scheduling for heavy civil or highway construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience scheduling large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (v12.0 or higher) with cost and resource loading.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods in heavy civil/highway projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of accuracy, reliability, and completeness in prior roles.
Preferred:
- BRT / transit project scheduling experience.
- Experience supporting CMGC delivery (or similar alternative delivery methods).
- Experience with cost/resource-loaded schedules and earned value / progress measurement approaches.
- Familiarity with project controls environments and working with multi-party teams (agency + CM/GC + designer).
Working Hours: Standard business hours, with flexibility for critical milestones and site travel.

Compensation Range: $176,800 – $208,000 annually and eligible for an annual bonus per company program.
