Job Description
Within Franciscan Health, the Personal Trainer works with members, patients, and guests to evaluate fitness levels, determine goals, and programs for optimal results. This position provides all levels of personal training sessions, and promotes fitness related programs and education. The Personal Trainer provides a supportive and encouraging environment for clients to achieve their fitness goals, and monitors their progress as they do so.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Promote awareness of results driven programs, thereby increasing member retention.
- Prospect non-training members, and promote personal training (privates/semi-privates), Small Group Training, Pilates, Group Fitness classes, and all programs and events.
- Maximize the member fitness and health results by accurately prescribing and defining exercise programs based on individual assessment.
- Work as a team to reach performance goals by directing fitness assessment clients into results-driven programs.
- Work closely with Exercise Physiologists (Wellness Manager and Supervisor) to create a smooth transition for maximum results from the choice of training options.
- Schedule and conduct all assessment and reassessments appointments.
- Make daily calls to members.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of all aspects of fitness testing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree Exercise/Health related field
- Required High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Exercise fitness related Preferred
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
- First Aid (AID) - American Heart Association
- National Commission for Certifying Agencies Accreditation (NCCA) Certification - National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
