Focus of the role
As Sales Innovation Product Owner – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract in Digital Channel, you will responsible and accountable for creating a vision and strategy for the AI fueled sales experiences, across our Digital Assets. This includes interfacing with our Bot and Messaging AI platform, experiences offsite before a customers reaches us, and partnering with key stakeholders on how to deliver the best experience in line with our policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do
Telstra Consumer - Telstra Digital Channels manages Telstra's digital channels, including its website, mobile app, and social media channels.
As Sales Innovation Product Owner – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, You will play a pivotal role in delivering diverse projects and programs, applying specialist expertise in project finance, procurement, or logistics to ensure compliance with Telstra policies and processes. A key contributor to planning, scheduling, and reporting, you support high-performing teams and drive great customer outcomes. Skilled in managing complex stakeholder environments, you deliver within budget, quality, and scope.
As part of the Ways of Working and Delivery Chapter, you share insights and guidance to uplift skills and foster growth. You model Telstra behaviours and demonstrate excellence in executing core processes to achieve successful delivery.
Mission
As Sales Innovation Product Owner – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract in Digital Channel, you will responsible and accountable for creating a vision and strategy for the AI fueled sales experiences, across our Digital Assets. Key Responsibilities:
- Innovation & Ideation – Generate new ideas (AI and non‑AI) for sales experiences; stay ahead of trends and emerging opportunities.
- Design & Concept Development – Partner with designers to shape ideas into tangible concepts and define end‑to‑end customer experiences.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with digital, sales, and delivery teams; influence others to adopt and build ideas.
- Prioritisation & Backlog Creation – Build and manage a pipeline of innovation ideas; prioritise based on customer value and business impact.
- Delivery Enablement – Hand over validated ideas to build teams; clarify requirements and intent to support delivery.
- Research & Insights – Use research to understand customer needs and trends; validate and refine idea.
About you
To be successful in the role, you must have:
Essential:
- Digital Product Acumen – Strong understanding of digital products and customer experiences.
- AI Execution & Applied Use Cases – Demonstrated ability to put AI technology into practice through real-life examples, turning ideas into customer-focused solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Innovation Mindset – Ability to generate, test, and explore new ideas
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management – Skilled at working across teams and managing dependencies for delivery.
- Experience delivering AI‑led or innovation initiatives.
