Job overview: We have an opportunity for a Culture Lead to guide the strategic design and implementation of cultural interventions across AXA UK, with a specific focus on driving and activating AXA’s cultural shifts
As the Culture Lead you’ll apply behavioural science and occupational psychology principles to eradicate organisational complexity, execute ‘Skills Boosts’ that embed new leadership behaviours, ensure a simplified and enhanced employee experience, and bring about measurable cultural change
Key responsibilities: Develop and lead the execution of the identified cultural shifts across the business, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and long-term transformation strategy
Use frameworks to assess organisational readiness and change impacts, identify cultural risks and opportunities, provide actionable insights, adjust approaches, and minimise disruption
Identify and address drivers of organisational complexity; design interventions to streamline ways of working and remove behavioural barriers to efficiency
Develop and implement ‘Skills Boosts’ to provide targeted, practical development that embed new leadership behaviours into daily operations
Coordinate and support culture change interventions by working with owners to refine plans, track progress, and ensure alignment with employee needs
Develop and execute communication plans to support culture change and behavioural initiatives, aligning with broader communication strategies and resources
Define and track KPIs related to culture change, using both quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate the impact of interventions and overall cultural health
Design initiatives to promote transparency, voice, empowerment, and psychological safety
Work arrangements: At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers
You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future
Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events
Your skills & experience: Proven experience in managing large-scale cultural transformation within complex, regulated environments, with multiple stakeholders
Ideally a qualified occupational psychologist or behavioural scientist, or extensive experience applying organisational psychology or behavioural science principles to organisational challenges
Knowledge of change management methodologies and the ability to assess change impacts and develop appropriate interventions
Skilled in managing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, fostering engagement, and managing change communities
Ability to interpret complex cultural data and psychological insights, translating them into clear, actionable business recommendations
Strong organisational skills to coordinate multiple interventions simultaneously, ensure timely delivery, track progress and dependencies, and adapt plans as needed
Effective at facilitating discussions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, with strong listening skills and emotional intelligence to understand manager and employee concerns
Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and managing resistance constructively
