Job Description
- Provide medical oversight for occupational health programs, including pre-employment screenings, immunization programs, surveillance, and injury management
- Develop, implement, and review occupational health policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, CDC, state/local laws)
- Serve as the primary clinical consultant on occupational health matters, including workplace injury, exposure management, and fitness-for-duty evaluations
- Lead outbreak and exposure investigations in collaboration with Infection Control
- Provide medical guidance on disability, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work determinations
- Oversee medical record documentation and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
- Educate and advise staff on occupational health and safety topics
- Participate in hospital committees related to workplace safety and employee wellness
- Supervise and mentor occupational health clinical staff
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certification in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty
- Valid Ohio medical license
- Experience in occupational health strongly preferred
- Knowledge of relevant regulations (OSHA, ADA, DOT, FMLA, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Flexible; position can be structured as part-time or full-time
