We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Cliffe Equine Hospital on a full-time basis.
Cliffe Equine is an established RCVS Accredited Equine Hospital based just outside Lewes in the East Sussex countryside.
The practice is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside at the base of the South Downs, just a few miles from the vibrant market town of Lewes and a short drive from Brighton. Direct trains provide easy access to Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.
We are a seven-vet practice with full surgical facilities, including a 17-box hospital. We also have a team of qualified and trainee Equine Nurses. Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our culture.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first-opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
* 40 hours per week, however part-time applications will be considered
* Working a combination of 7:30am–4:30pm, 8:30am–5:30pm and on-duty shifts
* 1 in 4 out-of-hours and weekend rota
General Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include general nursing duties, including medical care, inpatient and outpatient care, assisting vets in and out of the hospital, setting up X-ray, ultrasound, gastroscopy and other diagnostic equipment, running blood samples in-house, theatre preparation and breakdown before and after surgery, nursing support during surgical procedures and ensuring excellent clinical and general horse care at all times.

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
