Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, supervise, and direct all maintenance staff.
- Effectively manage hiring, training, payroll, performance reviews and provide regular feedback
- Act as liaison between management and maintenance team; report needs & challenges.
- Attend meetings to provide update on maintenance activities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive/corrective maintenance.
- Prioritize urgent requests and provide timely stakeholder updates.
- Schedule and follow up on work orders/projects for timely, efficient, cost-effective completion.
- Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and collaborate for site improvements.
- Develop and maintain workflows of maintenance systems, ensure all information is logged accurately, track trends to improve efficiency
- Perform scheduled inspections/audits of critical assets (machines, HVAC, generators, etc.).
- Assist maintenance staff as needed to support workload and timelines.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies for legal compliance.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage maintenance budget monthly
- Oversee site capital improvement activities with the Site & EHS Manager.
- Oversee the purchasing and inventory of maintenance equipment and supplies
- Implement policies, standards, procedures, and programs for site maintenance and facility improvements
- Support Kaizens and other site continuous improvement needs
- Additional duties assigned by supervisor.
- Must have at least 2 years’ experience working as a Maintenance Supervisor or equivalent experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
- Experience with budget management and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Communicate effectively, multi-task, and have good organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, often weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights, including on roofs and in attics.
- Ability to operate equipment and tools, including power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery.
