Who you will be reporting to
You will report directly to the Business Director – Emission Reduction & Optimization and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Operations globally.
What you will be doing
As the Commercial Manager for Emission Control Chemicals, you will lead the commercial pod responsible for managing the end-to-end quote-to-cash process while driving commercial performance, governance, and customer excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing a team of Emission Control Chemical Specialists
Managing the full quote-to-cash process, ensuring speed, accuracy, and commercial discipline
Reviewing and supporting complex or high-value customer enquiries
Driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and Value Conversion Rate (VCR) performance
Monitoring KPIs such as hit rates, response times, pipeline quality, and commercial trends
Collaborating closely with Product Management, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to improve delivery performance and customer experience
Acting as the escalation point for pricing, supplier, and delivery-related challenges
Identifying opportunities for process improvements, commercial initiatives, and operational efficiencies
Building a strong team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
What you need to be successful in the role
Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance customer needs, speed, pricing discipline, and profitability
Confidence in handling complex commercial situations and making sound decisions under pressure
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data and translate insights into action
Proven leadership capability with experience coaching and developing teams
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
A proactive, structured, and improvement-oriented mindset
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across regions and functions
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
What we are looking for
Solid commercial experience in pricing, margin management, or complex B2B environments
Good understanding of shipping operations and the maritime industry
Experience leading customer-facing, commercial, or operational teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Experience working closely with Sales, Operations, Product, and Supply Chain teams
High level of emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust and motivate teams
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Knowledge / experience of maritime chemicals is advantageous
Mandarin / Cantonese also advantageous to liaise native speaking HK / TW / Chinese customers.
