What's In It For You:
Trane Technologies is seeking a motivated Clean Energy and Sustainability Leader to support Trane Technologies’ Corporate Center for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability (CEES) team. This role will help advance our enterprise energy and sustainability objectives by supporting clean energy strategy development, providing sustainable data center customer support, coordinating sustainability initiatives across our operations, and monitoring relevant market and policy trends.

What You Will Do:
Support the evolution and implementation of Trane Technologies’ clean energy and operational sustainability strategies.
Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and execute energy and sustainability projects across manufacturing facilities, offices, and operational sites.
Evaluate potential sustainability initiatives—such as renewable energy opportunities, efficiency improvements, and emissions‑reduction measures—and support implementation with facilities and operations teams.
Track clean energy market trends, policy developments, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and risk/opportunity assessments.
Support internal guidance on energy policy topics and, where appropriate, engagement with industry groups and external stakeholders. Prepare presentations, analysis, and communication materials for leadership and cross-functional partners.
Assess and interpret the evolving relationship between the electric grid and building energy use, including electrification impacts, grid-interactive building opportunities, demand flexibility, and the role of distributed energy resources.
Identify ways operational sites can respond to changing grid conditions, market signals, and decarbonization pathways to optimize sustainability and cost outcomes.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
4–7+ years of experience in energy management, sustainability, facility operations, or related roles.
Experience with Renewable energy technologies, Energy systems and efficiency concepts including sustainable data center design along with Utility markets, energy procurement fundamentals, or corporate sustainability practices is desired.
Experience coordinating or contributing to energy or sustainability projects, with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate technical information into clear, actionable insights.
Effective communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence outcomes without direct authority.
Experience supporting clean energy procurement, renewable project evaluation, or interactions with utilities, familiarity with PPAs, energy attribute tracking, or project financing concepts.
Experience with building-to-grid technologies, distributed energy resources, microgrids, demand response, or load flexibility programs.
Exposure to data center operations or energy‑intensive facility environments including seals and certifications for sustainable design.
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as onsite storage, microgrids, hydrogen, or advanced clean energy systems along with active participation in industry groups or sustainability networks is desired.
