Role Overview & Responsibilities
The BDR role at SuperOrdinary is designed for a driven, proactive individual who will focus on generating new business opportunities, primarily for the Amazon division, but with potential exposure to other fast-growing business lines (e.g., TikTok, media). The company is scaling rapidly, with the Amazon division alone expected to reach $90–100M in revenue this year1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential clients, especially beauty, lifestyle, and emerging brands in the $1–5M revenue range. “Get a BDR in there that can be doing prospecting...it’d be nice to have some dedicated people for just prospecting and things like that.” (Ryan)1
- Trade Show Engagement: Attend industry events to network and generate leads. “Trade shows...is a great place for BDRs to cut their teeth and generate leads and, you know, go out and talk to people that you can hire for that kind of personality.” (Xan)1
- Pipeline Management: Qualify inbound and outbound leads, set meetings, and ensure smooth handoff to Account Executives or leadership for deal closure.
- Process Adherence: Follow and help refine a developing sales process. “We have what's worked for us in the past...it needs to be packaged up and probably formalized a little bit.” (Ryan)1
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CRO (Elizabeth), GM (Ryan), and other team members to align on targets and strategy.
- Initiative & Ownership: Take responsibility for driving results, being proactive in outreach, and managing follow-ups. “Someone who is very much on point of the email. The introduction comes in and then they set the meeting. They send the preread...that’s like table stakes.” (Elizabeth)2

Compensation & Structure:
- Competitive base salary (targeting $80–120K OTE for BDRs, with a 50/50 split between base and commission)1.
