MPS Group, Inc., is seeking multiple Maintenance Technicians to join our team at the Cleveland Cliffs Facility located in Middletown, OH. These individuals will be responsible for performing routine maintenance activities as well as daily manual labor tasks in an industrial environment, as outlined below.
Shift Details: This position rotates between a 1st and 2nd shift.
Shift: 1st
Schedule: Monday - Sunday, 6:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Shift: 2nd
Schedule: Monday - Sunday, 2:45 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Services and rebuilds slide gates for the tundishes and ladles in the Caster Department.
- Assembles, installs, and repairs equipment such as springs, guide rails, upper & lower frames, and hydraulic cylinders.
- Demonstrates use calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, taps, dies, & other basic hand tools.
- Works at heights with confidence and commitment to safety.
- Operates powered industrial truck, scissor lifts, etc.
- Follows company and customer safety protocol, PPE usage, and reporting.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and technical procedures.
- Consistently adheres to PPE requirements, safety rules, policies, and procedures at customer locations.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, including proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to pass a drug test and physical.
Preferred:
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year using tools in an industrial setting.
- Minimum of 6 months experience welding.
