Work Experience
-Formal sonography training or two years on the job experience preferred.
Education
-Registered or registry eligible for ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International), or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required.
-Vascular Registry preferred.
-BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire date.

Job: Ultrasound Tech

Position Summary
Ultrasound Tech provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. Ultrasound Tech is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. The Ultrasound Tech is also responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). The Sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve.
Essential Functions
-Performs sonographic procedures on patients in a timely manner.
-Timely reports information to the Radiologist.
-Cleans and maintains equipment and prepares necessary reports and maintains all required records.
-Always ensures the safety of patients.
-Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
-On call duties required.
-Reports to and depart from work on time and as scheduled.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
-Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
