POSITION SUMMARY
The Ivy Academy Student Support Assistant serves as the primary day-to-day staff presence for students participating in Ivy Academy, a cohort-based dual-enrollment program that allows high school students to earn college credentials while completing high school. Working under the
direction of the ASAP Coordinator within Student Success, this position supports student engagement, program operations, enrichment activities, recruitment efforts, and student success initiatives. The Student Support Assistant helps create a welcoming, supportive, and engaging environment while connecting students with resources and opportunities that contribute to their academic and personal success.

POSITION TITLE: Ivy Academy Student Support Assistant (Part-Time)
REPORTS TO: ASAP Coordinator, Student Success

COMPENSATION: $16-$18.00/hr

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Support & Engagement
● Serve as the primary point of contact for Ivy Academy students during cohort hours.
● Build positive relationships with students and foster a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment.
● Monitor student engagement, participation, and well-being and communicate concerns to the ASAP Coordinator.
● Assist students in navigating campus resources and connecting with appropriate support services.
● Support student transitions to the college environment and encourage participation in campus opportunities.
● Help cultivate a strong cohort experience and sense of belonging among Ivy Academy students.
● Assist in maintaining a student-centered space that promotes engagement, community, and student success.

Student Development & Enrichment Activities
● Assist with planning, preparation, logistics, and facilitation of student enrichment activities.

● Support workshops, guest speakers, college and career exploration opportunities, service-learning projects, leadership development activities, and other student success programming.
● Coordinate room setup, materials preparation, attendance tracking, and activity logistics.

●Encourage student participation and engagement in program activities and experiences.

Program Operations
● Assist with student onboarding processes, including collection of forms, required documentation, and program communications.
● Follow up with students regarding deadlines, program requirements, and action items.
● Maintain student records, participation logs, attendance information, and program documentation.
● Assist with tracking student participation, credential attainment, and other program outcomes.
● Monitor classroom and student space needs and communicate supply, equipment, or facility concerns to the ASAP Coordinator.

Recruitment & Outreach
● Assist with recruitment events, information sessions, campus visits, and tours.
●Communicate with prospective students and families regarding program information and next steps.
● Support outreach activities with school and community partners.
●Assist with orientation and welcome activities for new students.

Administrative Support
● Assist with scheduling, communications, event coordination, and general program operations.
● Maintain inventories of program materials and supplies.
● Support special projects and initiatives related to student engagement and success.
● Perform other duties related to Ivy Academy operations and student support as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
● Associate degree required.
● Experience working with high school students, college students, youth programs, or
educational settings preferred.
● Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

● Ability to build positive relationships with diverse student populations.
● Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technology platforms.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a student-centered environment.
● Demonstrated commitment to student success and creating supportive learning environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree or higher.
● Experience in mentoring, student support, education, youth development, advising, or related fields.
● Experience coordinating events, activities, or student engagement programs.
● Familiarity with community colleges, dual-enrollment programs, or first-generation student populations.
