Senior Principal Emulation Engineer (G5)
Location: Bangalore, India

Role Summary
Lead complex SoC emulation programs and manage the ACE Emulation team in Bangalore. Responsible for driving end-to-end emulation model development, platform enablement, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and team growth while supporting pre-silicon verification, validation, firmware, and software development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, development, qualification, and delivery of emulation models for large SoC programs.
- Drive emulation strategy, methodology, performance optimization, and debug infrastructure.
- Manage multiple emulation projects, resources, schedules, risks, and customer escalations.
- Lead and mentor the Bangalore Emulation team, including hiring, performance management, and technical development.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Design, Verification, DFT, Validation, FW/SW, and Program Management teams to ensure successful milestone execution.
- Drive automation and process improvements to improve model quality, usability, and turnaround time.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/M.S. in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in SoC Emulation, Verification, Digital Design, or Pre-Silicon Validation.
- Proven experience leading large-scale emulation projects and engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Synopsys ZeBu and Siemens Veloce model development, bring-up, debug, and deployment.
- Solid understanding of SoC architecture, RTL design, SystemVerilog/UVM, verification flows, and Linux environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Tcl, Shell, or similar languages.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with FPGA-based SoC prototyping platforms and methodologies.
- Exposure to firmware/software bring-up and system-level debug.
- Experience working with EDA vendors and leading methodology improvements.
