Job Title: Production Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager or Plant Manager

Shift: 7PM-7AM (2-2-3 Schedule)
Summary of Job
The Production Supervisor II is responsible for directing and supervising activities of a production team and shift/department and will have multiple direct reports. The right individual will have 3+ years of experience leading & managing a team in a manufacturing environment, and will ensure that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved, while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. In addition, the individual in this role will be responsible for creating a culture based on integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration that will enhance the department’s ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent. The Production Supervisor II is responsible for all people leadership and management aspects of the department, including the interviewing and selection of talent and all components of performance management.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Drive company to achieve goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production.
Effectively manage labor to meet plant labor productivity & cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence
Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions
Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment
Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality and standard operating procedures.
Train and understand all existing and new production equipment; create and/or review training documentation to ensure it is up to date and accurate
Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement
Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in a timely manner.
Analyze and submit daily reporting on performance and progress as it relates to production, quality, safety, staffing, and maintenance duties.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred in relevant field
High School diploma or equivalent required
5+ years’ experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
Strong background in manufacturing
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of Word/PowerPoint
