Bilingual/World Language Teacher

TITLE: Bilingual / World Language Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS: State of CT Certification (902 or 009) requirements or elementary certification (305) and eligible for bilingual cross endorsement (902 or 009) or eligible for CT Certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual, English and Spanish 

REPORTS TO: Principal/Director or designee

SUPERVISES: Teacher aides and volunteers assigned

JOB GOAL: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible citizens.

SALARY RANGE: As determined by professional experience and NLEA contract.

A $1000 hiring bonus may be offered to new employees certified in an area of shortage as defined by the state department of education. Additional retention bonus payments of $750 annually for up to four years may be offered with contract renewal.
