Automation Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES:     Sets up and operates Automatan machine to produce product(s) to customer specification.   Troubleshoots, performs minor repair and preventative maintenance procedures on Automatan machine.   Trains Assistant Operator and Utility/Helper/Offbearer, as assigned.   Assigns and instructs Assistant Operator and Utility/Helper/Offbearer, as assigned.   Performs quality checks as required. Takes appropriate corrective action.   Maintains records of production, work in process, as required.   Performs other job related duties as assigned or delegated.     BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:    High School Graduate or GED and prior manufacturing experience.   Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.   Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.   Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.   Must be authorized to work in the U.S.     KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:   Ability to verbally communicate to co-workers and supervisors necessary to perform the essential functions of the above position or any other directed tasks.   Ability to stand for standard 8 hour shift or longer.   Ability to lift 40 lbs frequently.   Ability to bend and twist frequently.   Some skill at problem solving and troubleshooting.   Working mechanical ability.   Some skill at record keeping including paper records and computer data input.
