As an OGEC Administrative Specialist 1, you will be the face of OGEC. You will help public officials who reach out to OGEC for assistance and help them navigate various systems and support OGEC’s lobbyists, clients, and public officials with their filing needs. $3,796-$5,189/ per month Non-PERS Rate
$4,049-$5,548/ per month PERS Rate
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Your application must demonstrate education and/or experience in the following:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and one year of experience with records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and experience should demonstrate the ability to:
use file management systems, secure file-sharing platforms (e.g., FileCloud), Adobe Pro and Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) to streamline and automate tasks, communicate, maintain confidentiality. Ability to learn new technologies and applications.
ensure all documentation, orders, notices, reports, and files are accurate, complete, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and database management.
communicate with a variety of people at all levels such as administrators, other agency or legislative staff members, the press, and the public, with strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality as needed for the situation.
handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and safeguarding data.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work in an area of moderate noise level with distractions and maintain good working relationship with other employees in the unit/office. Requires daily computer usage, typing, talking, sitting, and standing.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Finalists will be subject to a computerized criminal history check. Adverse background data may be grounds for immediate disqualification.
The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6%. If the successful candidate is non-PERS qualifying, after six months the candidate will become PERS qualifying, and the salary will be adjusted automatically.
Agency does not offer visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire, applicants will be required to complete I-9 documentation and confirm authorization to work in the United States. If your employment authorization and documentation is contingent on sponsorship now or in the future, you will not meet Agency employment eligibility standards.
Employee must have a valid license to drive and an acceptable driving record. If not, employee must be able to provide an alternate method of transportation.
This is a full-time, permanent, Administrative Specialist 1 position that is not currently represented by a union. The employees are currently engaged in unionizing activities with SEUI 503 and this position may be a represented position in the future.
