The Quality Assurance Technician is capable to support driving the leading indicators to meet the key Quality metric that is aligned to the quality performance objective of the supported manufacturing business segments, assembly, and sub-assembly business units for product and parts. Specifically, the position shall evaluate line issues, address costumer complaints and compliance to processes.
The Quality Technician executes the qualification test plan of parts and product to ensure its conformance and comparability to OEM. He/she performs the needed root cause identification through methodical failure analysis approach to eliminate quality excursion from incoming, in-process or external product non-conformities. This role executes both parts and product reliability test procedures.
Essential Job Skills/Duties
• Executes parts qualification and assessment procedure, process, and system requirements.
• Performs failure analysis procedure and generates report within the required turn-around time.
• Performs reliability testing, measurement and diagnostic utilizing applicable diagnostics and measurement tools and equipment.
• Generates failure analysis, parts qualification and reliability and assessment reports.
• Presents the result of failure analysis and other diagnostic results within the department in support of the cross functional team in generating containment, corrective, preventive and sustainable action plan for yield and quality improvement.
• Participates in the development of product specifications, characterizations, acceptance criteria and disposition from handling of non-conformances process and new business programs.
• Maintains parts qualification database reports and lessons learning.
• Monitors the inventory of calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment, tools, and jigs.
• Supports the Quality Engineer on the development of metrology, methodology, test plan, innovations, and failure analysis.
• Participates in the cross functional committee meetings/collaboration together with the Quality Engineer
• Initiate and /or supports projects and bright ideas which drives continuous improvement.
• Executes, contributes to, and participates in 5S activities within assigned station/area
• Adheres to Asurion Handbook and the Rules of Corrective Discipline
• Perform other duties as maybe assigned by immediate superior.
