About the location:

A secluded oasis at the edge of an idyllic lagoon! On the east coast of Mauritius, lapped by turquoise waters perfect for water sports, our relaxing Resort is filled with lush greenery and dramatic views everywhere you turn. This beautiful resort opened in October 2008, and has 90 one-bedroom villas, 1 Presidential Suite, 45 two-to-five-bedroom residential villas, 5 stunning Food and Beverage venues in addition to managing an off-property beach bar/restaurant, an award-winning over water Spa, 2 tennis courts and a fitness center.

Main Responsibilities

1. Report to shift on time. Aware of schedule at all times and if unable to attend work, notify the Supervisor or Duty Manager in adequate time and according to policy.

2. Ensure all uniforms are placed on the uniform carousel daily.

3. Issue clean uniforms to staff members and receive uniforms for dry cleaning/laundry and pressing.

4. Check daily your area for current repair and carry out easy repair works on uniforms.

5. Assist Seamstress with the fitting and issuing of Uniforms to new employees

6. Give all uniforms that are damaged beyond repair to the Seamstress so that the uniform discard report will be updated and to inform the Laundry Assistant Manager so that he/she can investigate if the damage is due to neglect of staff members, faulty machinery, wrong chemicals used or not following the instruction on care labels and/ or the Four Seasons Standards how to process garments.

7. Assist the Seamstress with a quarterly uniform inventory of all departments and ensuring that there is an adequate supply of sizes for each department.

8. Effectively and politely communicate with employees and guests.

9. To ensure all ead With Care Compliance is strickly followed and adminstred to the Housekeeping Team.

10. Service the resort guest with professionalism and in a speedy manner.

11. Assist the Valet department with processing of uniforms and guest clothing as well as deliveries and pick up from guest rooms.

POSITION: Uniform and Linen Attendant

DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping

REPORTS TO: Laundry Supervisor / Director of Housekeeping

SUMMARY: Ensure all uniforms are in good repair, crisp and well fitted. Alterations are to be done to the highest standard of workmanship as set by the Four Seasons.

EDUCATION: None required

REQUIREMENTS: Good oral English communication skills Previous experience required

12. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Laundry Assistant Manager or Director of Housekeeping.

13. To attend any department training sessions and/or meetings required

Health and Safety

· To ensure a safe workplace by identifying hazards and taking corrective action.

· To maintain compliance with government regulations to ensure a clean and hygienic work environment.

· To comply with and fully understand the laws and regulations regarding licensing, food safety, health and safety, fire equipment and fire training

· To ensure accidents are reported in accordance with procedure

· To respond properly in any emergency or safety situation.

Additional Responsibilities

· Conduct self in a professional manner at all times. Adhere to the established standard of conduct and house rules, fire regulations, and department procedures and policies.

· Dress in issued uniform and ensures a neat, clean, and tidy appearance at all times, adhering to the established Grooming Standards Policy.
