                                                                   Junee Correctional Centre

 

 

Location: Junee Correctional Centre, NSW Riverina

Employment type:  Permanent Ongoing | Full-time or Part-time | Job share

Salary: 

    • Psychologist: $83,898 – $118,316pa.
    • Specialist Psychologist: $114,016 - $139,824pa
    • Plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

What you’ll do

 

  • Deliver psychological assessments and interventions within a custodial setting
  • Provide expert advice on managing complex mental health and high-risk offenders
  • Contribute to case management and behaviour plans to support rehabilitation
  • Maintain accurate documentation in OIMS
  • Prepare reports for parole boards and review tribunals

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Passionate and resilient psychologist with a strong ethical approach
  • Experience in correctional psychology, including mental health, cognitive impairment, and risk assessment
  • Solid understanding of correctional principles and criminogenic risk factors
  • Registered (provisional or full) with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)

 

Essential Requirements

 

  • Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology with current provisional or full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. 
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
