Job Description
Basic Purpose:
Conduct troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of all manufacturing equipment. Secondary duties include, but not limited to, upgrading and installation of new equipment, electrical, welding, machining, mechanical, etc., while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make repairs in expeditious manner.
- Perform weekly preventative maintenance functions.
- Perform rebuilds/upgrades on assigned equipment.
- Participate and assist in the installation of new machinery.
- Inspect machines for parts wear and recommend/participate in making necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with Operations Leadership to ensure common priorities and goals for shift
- Assist with coaching machine operators on minor adjustments/fixes on equipment
- Ensure paperwork including daily end of shift reports, inventory, safety sheets (ex: hot work permits, confined space) and supply requisitions are completed accurately
- Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action immediately
- Additional duties and various projects as needed.
- Follow all Food Safety guidelines, but not limited to:
- GMP’s / Allergen Program / Quality / Sanitation / Safety
