Job Description

At KCB, our purpose is Sustaining the Future. We bring this purpose to life through practical, risk‑informed solutions to complex environmental and engineering challenges. Guided by our values of Passion, Integrity, and Excellence, we focus on building trusted relationships, delivering high‑quality work, and supporting our clients and communities over the long term.

Who We’re Looking For

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Project Administrator to join our Brisbane team and support our Water Engineering group. Reporting to the Manager, Water Engineering, this role offers the opportunity to build your administrative expertise while contributing to a diverse portfolio of engineering projects.

You’ll play a key role in supporting a collaborative, high-performing team—gaining exposure to complex project environments and developing your skills within a professional, project-driven organisation that values initiative, quality, and continuous growth.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare and submit high-quality project documentation (reports, proposals, CVs).

  • Provide project administration support, liaising with technical teams to coordinate daily activities.

  • Manage document control and maintain accurate project filing systems.

  • Support budgeting, procurement, timesheets, and accounts payable.

  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and organise travel, events, and team logistics.

  • Liaise with clients and vendors, maintaining strong working relationships.

  • Assist with onboarding, site mobilisation, and procurement of project supplies.

  • Support QHSE requirements and ensure compliance with company systems.

  • Provide general administrative support to project and office teams as needed.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in administration, project support, or a similar role (experience in engineering or professional services is a plus).

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Clear, professional communication skills and confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders.

  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset, paired with the ability to take initiative and work independently.

  • A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to support others and contribute to a high-performing team environment.

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

  • Experience with document control processes and PDF tools (e.g. Bluebeam, Acrobat) is beneficial.

  • Strong capability across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with exposure to SharePoint or document management systems (e.g. Aconex, Newforma) an advantage.

  • Experience with document control practices and PDF/editing tools (e.g. Bluebeam, Acrobat) is beneficial.

What we offer in addition to an exciting role

  • Additional Superannuation: 2.5% extra to secure your future.

  • Income Protection Insurance: Peace of mind for you and your family.

  • Parental and Volunteer Leave: Support for your personal and community commitments.

  • Option to Purchase up to 15 additional annual leave days per annum.

  • Novated Leasing: Flexible vehicle leasing options.

  • Social and Mental Well-being Initiatives: Programs to support your overall well-being.

  • Training and Development Opportunities: Continuous growth and learning.

Additional incentives may be available dependent on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.

We encourage you to upload your resume and cover letter (maximum 200 words) online.

  • Address your application to Richard Lumb, Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Specialist; and

  • Identify one responsibility of the role that you anticipate will be the most challenging, and outline how you would approach it.
