Summer Camp Counselor
Location: Montgomery, AL, 36109
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Summer Camp Counselors to join our outdoor day camp team at the East family YMCA. If you love working with children, enjoy outdoor activities, and are ready to lead by example, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children during daily camp activities.
- Lead outdoor games, sports, and educational activities in a safe and positive environment.
- Encourage teamwork, respect, and positive social interaction among campers.
- Assist in planning and organizing camp schedules and events.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and camp staff.
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children and outdoor activities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Responsible, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a positive attitude.
- Previous camp counseling or childcare experience is a plus.
