Job Description
About Us
Yahoo is building a world class marketing team to build momentum for Yahoo, re-establishing its unique place in people’s everyday lives and culture. The Marketing Operations team is at the center of that effort, committed to transforming the marketing process to drive predictable outcomes through structured planning, rigorous execution, and scalable systems.
At the center of this work are our Marketing Program Managers — strategic operators who drive alignment across cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact, omni-channel marketing programs at scale.
As a Marketing Program Manager (Flex), you will play a critical execution-focused role within the Marketing Operations team. You will split your time between leading smaller end-to-end marketing campaigns independently and partnering with Senior Marketing Program Managers to support the operational delivery of larger, highly complex, cross-functional initiatives.
This role is equal parts operational expert and team diplomat. You will drive the systems, workflows, and cross-functional processes that enable teams to move quickly, stay aligned, and deliver best-in-class marketing across channels. You’ll work upstream to drive planning cycles, forecast resourcing needs, identify operational gaps, and ensure seamless collaboration between Yahoo’s internal cross-functional teams and external agency ecosystem.
About You
You are a highly organized marketing program manager with experience managing integrated programs at pace. You thrive at the intersection of marketing and operations, bringing structure and clarity to complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving business needs.
You are the center of the marketing program—supporting Senior Marketing Program Managers or leading smaller programs independently as a one stop shop, the source of truth, and ultimate air traffic controller who can see around corners. You are comfortable driving stakeholder alignment, and rolling up your sleeves to manage timelines, workflows, dependencies, and delivery details.
You are an exceptional communicator, relationship builder, and problem solver who is comfortable being the connector across internal and agency teams that can navigate ambiguity while championing operational excellence and rigor.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution: Lead the end-to-end operational execution of small-to-mid-sized marketing programs across multiple channels, including paid media, owned & operated (O&O) platforms, social, web, email/CRM, and experiential activations.
Senior PM Support: Collaborate closely with Senior Marketing Program Managers to manage project plans, track milestones, and coordinate deliverables for Yahoo's highest-profile vertical campaigns.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as an operational connector across Brand, Product Marketing, Lifecycle/CRM, Media, Social, Analytics, Legal, Creative, and Production teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution and consistent brand storytelling.
Timeline & Task Management: Build, maintain, and enforce detailed project timelines, workflows, and task dependencies using enterprise project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Jira, Airtable).
Upstream Dependencies: Partner with Media & CRM execution teams to track asset requests, coordinate submission deadlines, and ensure production dependencies are met ahead of campaign launch dates.
Status & Reporting: Own status tracking and campaign health reporting, ensuring all cross-functional stakeholders have visibility into delivery milestones, blockers, and project timelines.
Meeting Facilitation: Organize and run tactical alignment meetings, stand-ups, and campaign retrospectives, ensuring action items are documented, assigned, and resolved.
Stakeholder Management: Drive alignment across cross-functional teams including Marketing, Creative, Production, Media, Analytics, Legal, Product, and external agencies.
Risk Assessment: Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and operational gaps early in the planning process to ensure successful campaign execution.
Project Management: Build and manage integrated project plans, workflows, timelines, stakeholder communications, and governance processes, ensuring programs are delivered on time, on brand, within scope, and against business objectives. Track key milestones, budgets, campaign deliverables, and performance metrics across programs.
Qualifications
3-5+ years of dedicated marketing operations, project management, or production experience within an in-house brand marketing team or creative agency.
Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaign development lifecycles and workflows, spanning from initial creative briefing through multi-channel execution.
Hands-on experience working within highly collaborative, matrixed environments alongside cross-functional partners in brand, media, creative, and legal.
Proven proficiency with enterprise project management and workflow collaboration tools such as Airtable, Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or similar platforms.
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to manage competing tactical priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Embrace AI as a core capability to incorporate into their day-to-day workflows. From drafting to analysis and automation, we're building a team that uses AI to accelerate execution and enhance outcomes through the effective use of AI.

Contribute to a culture of learning and innovation by experimenting with AI-enabled approaches, sharing best practices, and helping advance AI adoption across the Marketing organization.
Familiarity with technical production processes across digital production, social media trends, video formats, and lifecycle marketing mechanics.
Project management certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, or Agile/Scrum) is a plus.
Experience tracking localized marketing production budgets or vendor deliverables.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
The material job duties and responsibilities of this role include those listed above as well as adhering to Yahoo policies; exercising sound judgment; working effectively, safely and inclusively with others; exhibiting trustworthiness and meeting expectations; and safeguarding business operations and brand integrity.
