About the Role: As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the school’s facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained at all times. You will support the day-to-day upkeep of the site, carrying out routine maintenance tasks, responding to repairs, and assisting with the preparation of spaces for school activities and events. You will also help monitor health and safety standards, conduct regular checks, and work alongside external contractors when required. This is a hands-on, varied role where your contribution will directly impact the smooth running of the school environment. This is a temporary, full-time role to cover a sickness absence. You have a strong attention to detail and can manage your time effectively across a range of tasks. Ideally, you have previous experience in a similar role and some practical skills in areas such as basic repairs, plumbing, or electrical work. You are comfortable working independently as well as part of a team and can adapt to changing priorities. With a flexible approach and a commitment to safety, you are ready to support a busy school environment and respond calmly to any challenges that arise.
