Head of Enterprise/SW Architecture (m/f/n)

Summary

At ESET, we are looking for a Lead/Head of Architecture who will collaborate with teams across enterprise architecture while also leading and developing a team of experienced architects.

Job description

In this role, you will help shape and evolve ESET’s enterprise and software architecture in line with business strategy and product direction. You will lead a team of senior architects and play a key role in strengthening architectural capabilities across a global R&D organization of approximately 800 people delivering cybersecurity solutions in endpoint protection, EDR, XDR, and related areas.

We are looking for an experienced leader with strong technical credibility, hands-on software architecture background, and the ability to inspire others, influence senior stakeholders, and make difficult decisions in a complex environment.

What We Expect from You

• Proven experience in senior technical leadership roles such as Technical Lead, IT Lead, Architect, Engineering Manager, or similar
• Strong hands-on experience in software architecture within modern software environments
• Ability to understand and influence technical decisions across enterprise applications, integration architecture, cloud and on-prem environments, security, data, APIs, and microservices
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid architectures and large-scale, complex technology environments
• Knowledge of enterprise support domains such as CRM, ERP, and eCommerce, including understanding of digital customer journeys
• Strong leadership skills with natural authority, sound judgment, and the ability to make difficult decisions
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to different audiences
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to connect business needs with architectural direction
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with SAFe methodology
• Knowledge of domain-driven design
• Experience with security-driven architecture or cybersecurity
• Experience with transformation initiatives such as cloud adoption, legacy modernization, or digitalization
• Experience designing architecture in large, complex, globally scaled environments

Basic wage component (brutto): from  6000 EUR/m. (brutto) 

* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate. 
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 15% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
