The Reinsurance Department provides accounting and treaty placement services for the company. We are currently hiring a Reinsurance Analyst in our corporate headquarters in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday–Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Review reinsurance contracts and complete risk transfer analyses.
Provide support for the annual corporate renewals, including data collection.
Perform ad hoc financial reports in support of treaty submissions.
Work with reinsurance brokers to complete treaty submissions.
Provide annual statement support as needed.
Prepare financial reports.
Analyze reinsurer financial strength.
Analyze treaty structures.
Support reinsurance data needs from business units, reinsurers, states and rating agencies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Generally, at least one year of experience in the insurance industry preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or related discipline.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
Knowledge of Workday and/or other relational database tools preferred (i.e. SQL, Microsoft Access, etc.).
Ability to write Cognos reports preferred.
Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance financials preferred.
Ability to learn, understand and work with complex financial and data reports.
Strong analytical skills and technical skills, detail oriented, able to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize, and plan work accordingly.
Strong communication skills; ability to comfortably communicate with all levels of internal and external clients.
