
Vascular Sonographer Inpatient Registered III
Job Description
Essential Job Function:
Performs vascular ultrasound examinations for accurate assessments to aid in the identification of vascular conditions and supports patient treatment planning.
Analyzes test data, identifying abnormalities and relaying findings clearly to medical professionals in both verbal and written formats to contribute to informed medical decisions for vascular conditions and patient well-being.
Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and promptly reporting any technical issues to facilitate continuous patient care.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, participating in discussions about patient cases, sharing insights, and contributing to comprehensive care plans.
Must perform 6 advanced activities as outlined by departmental career ladder.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Required: 5 years
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
Required: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) from CCI or Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT-VS) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); BLS (CPR)- American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare provider.
