This position assists instructors in the classroom and online (as needed) and must be available as a tutor for the students of the assigned courses. In addition, this position assists the Department Chair and/or Director of Undergraduate Studies in developing and implementing strategies and practices for improving undergraduate student learning.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist instructors in the classroom and online (if necessary) and be available to students of the assigned courses as a tutor.
- Have the capability of assisting in classes spanning all three major sub-disciplines of Anthropology.
- Grade exams and papers.
- Conduct review sessions.
- Advise students.

Required Qualifications
- Good time management.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in anthropology from a three or four-field department.
- Experience teaching online.
- Experience with Canvas.
- Broad teaching skills in all areas of anthropology.
- One to three years of teaching, or teaching assistance experience, in a college or university, or one-time attendance at the summer teaching assistant orientation hosted by the Teaching Center.
