Core Mission

  • Full Strategic and Operational Responsibility for the Injectable Aesthetic Business in China
  • Develop short and long term strategy for Injectable Aesthetic business to accelerate growth ahead of market
  • Ensure the annual achievement of Injectable Aesthetic objectives which include sales and profit contribution
  • Participate as an active member of the China Leadership team.
  • Motivate and direct team members to meet or exceed assigned sales target within P&L framework       
  • Lead marketing and sales teams, build up a high-performance team

Duties and Responsibilities

Main Duties

  • Direct and control the Aesthetic Business Unit operations strategy ensure that the Company achieves its mission and objectives
  • Lead the development and growth the of Aesthetic Business Unit ahead of market category growth
  • Full P&L responsibility for China Aesthetic Business   
  • Gain market share
  • Develop and successfully execute end-to-end successful marketing and sales plans in accordance with corporate/company strategy
  • Shape the medical aesthetic market through strong brand building and differentiated service offering
  • Develop competitive differentiation
  • Drive innovative end-to-end consumer and physician digital engagement initiatives
  • Prepare and successfully launch products to accelerate growth trajectory of medical aesthetic business
  • Identify target customers, develop a network of relations with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders; identify and maintain strong links with scientific opinion leaders and key decision makers
  • Increase medical injector productivity through targeted strategies to increase consumer demand at hospital levels
  • Maintain contact with key accounts in the market Initiate and coordinate development and execution of action plans to penetrate market and develop new accounts
  • Anticipate change in market and propose respective action plan
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team
  • Represent the company at congresses and events and towards relevant stakeholders of the unit business
  • Ensuring the day to day running of the business
  • Create a positive team environment through the demonstration of strong leadership behaviors, including communicating expectations clearly, instilling an atmosphere of trust and respect, and leading by example
  • Use a mix of coaching and development tools to help each team member realize their full potential.
  • As a member of the China Leadership, provide significant input and support to accomplish management team goals which will benefit Galderma in the long term.

The person also has the ability to stand back from day-to day activities, focusing on major issues and long term goals.

Profile Requirements

Education/Training:

  • At least university graduate. MBA degree, and relevant experience in MNCs are desirable

Work Experience:

  • 15 years+ sales and marketing experience, at least 5 years in sales management role (at least 5 years China experience in a management role)
  • Proven experience in P&L management
  • Extensive sales, marketing, business development, or medical management experience gained in an international company with multiple sales channels such as Medical Devices (aesthetics, contact lenses, dental), Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals or Luxury Goods/Premium FMCG.
  • Track-record of successful product launch
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Proven strong leadership and ability to drive sales teams
  • Successful track record in building, managing and leading teams within a dynamic and fast changing environment
  • Strong leadership skills including ability to inspire colleagues and inspire confidence in business partners both internal and external
  • Successful track record in managing effectively in a matrix environment, managing multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to successfully manage external partnerships
  • Resilient, dedicated and persuasive
  • Excellent analytical skills and conceptual thinking
  • High standards of integrity and self-motivated
  • Excellent written & spoken English and Mandarin
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
