About the role
Group Exercise Instructor – Corporate Fitness Center (Mettawa, IL)
HealthFitness is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to support a corporate fitness center in Mettawa, IL (between Vernon Hills and Lake Forest). This is a great opportunity for someone looking to add a consistent, low‑hour role to their schedule.
Details:
~1 class per week
Early morning class (6:45–7:00 AM start)
Wednesday or Thursday availability
Ideal for an instructor who can teach multiple group fitness formats and adapt programming as member needs evolve.
Minimum Requirements
- Current group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited specialty class certification required.
- Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required.
- 2+ years group exercise instruction experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
