BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION Looking to build a career in workplace safety, training, or operations? This night-shift hybrid role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while making a real impact on employee safety and development at Kubota.   In this role, you’ll support Kubota’s safety programs while delivering engaging training for warehouse team members during overnight operations, working closely with leaders and employees to promote a safe, efficient environment as you grow your skills. This position provides hands-on exposure to safety, training, and operations, offering early career professionals the opportunity to take on responsibility, build expertise, and gain confidence in a dynamic setting.   Key Responsibilities Conduct night-shift safety inspections, identify hazards, enforce safe work practices, and exercise stop-work authority when necessary. Advise leadership and supervisors on OSHA compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies. Investigate near-miss and incident data, identify trends, and recommend prioritized prevention and corrective actions. Maintain safety documentation, including inspections, incident logs, training records, and PPE inventory. Deliver and track safety and operational training (PIV operation, equipment handling, Kubota demonstrations) using hands-on instruction and the LMS. Support training program development by collaborating with Instructional Design, maintaining training spaces, and driving continuous improvement. Serve as night-shift safety representative by leading safety communications, participating in safety committees, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure safe operations.   Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related field preferred; 2–4 years of experience in safety, training, or a related environment (internships or part-time experience acceptable). Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry regulations and a willingness to learn forklift and powered industrial vehicle (PIV) requirements. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate Kubota equipment, forklifts, and material-handling vehicles (certification provided within six months). Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience or comfort presenting and instructing groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to work independently during night-shift hours with minimal supervision.   Certifications OSHA-30, First Aid/CPR, or similar safety certifications preferred but not required. Must obtain Powered Industrial Truck Certification within 6 months (provided by Kubota).   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods (8+ hours). Occasional bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate and mount/dismount material handling equipment. Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures. Ability to wear required PPE.
