Position Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of assigned tasks and duties with focus on: Safe work practices High quality, precision work with a customer service orientation in support of “Great Products & Service”.
  • Adherence to standards and best practice application acquired through training and work experience.
  • Sharing maintenance knowledge and application skills through mentoring Reliability Tech levels D thru A, while continuing to grow in knowledge of maintenance practices and equipment performance, understanding their impact on manufacturing processes and business objectives.
  • Provide feedback on job assignment needs and improvement opportunities with peers and leadership.
  • Take readings and measurements utilizing PdM technologies including Infrared Imaging, Ultrasonic, and Oil Analysis Capture data, document findings, build and maintain databases/routes, develop baselines, trend data, interpret results, create and execute corrective work orders and optimize PM’s and PdM’s.
  • Effectively utilize various software packages as they apply to Infrared, Ultrasound and Oil Analysis technologies.
  • Perform ultrasonic testing, frequency analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, lubrication and testing as appropriate to the specific equipment.
  • Attend extensive off site training on use of PdM equipment and how to analyze results.  
  • ISO Certify as minimum Infrared Level I, and Ultrasound Level I. or equivalent training to be approved  by the Energy/ Reliability group Demonstrate ability to visually identify electrical components as they relate to Infrared scan reporting and corrective work documentation.
  • Train technicians and RPT/EIT members on predictive maintenance fundamentals.
  • Perform precision alignment on belts and shafts utilizing precision alignment tools.
  • Train maintenance teammates on alignment techniques.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and graphs.
  • Present information to management.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of an array of sensitive and technical tools.
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner.
  • Work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary to keep program on schedule Communicate effectively with management to adequately address findings in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and perform simple frequency analysis. (Identify frequencies of known components and harmonics) 

Requirements:  

  • Safety practices - LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, and Hot Work Calculator and Computer application.
  • Work order documentation, parts requisitioning.
  • Measurement units, techniques and application of appropriate tools Math skills to include Arithmetic Application of formulas such as area, volume, etc. Conversion of measurement units.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, as well as contribute to the revision and creation of schematics for systems Identification and selection of proper tools, focused on selection of the right tool for work assignment application Identification and selection of the correct material types used in construction and fabrication.
  • Advanced fabrication skills used in project work, including design, project planning, and execution for systems such as power transmission, plumbing/piping, and process equipment installation.
  • Ability to execute root cause analysis evaluations on equipment and process failures, focusing on solution creation to eliminate or lessen exposure from future similar failure modes Interpret, analyze results, and build action plans for identified issues from PdM tool application, specifically from IR, Oil Analysis, & Ultrasound Able to sit, stand or walk eight to twelve hours a day.
  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, lift, climb ladders and reach occasionally.
  • Able to lift/carry packages weighing up to Fifty pounds Able to wear OSHA and NFPA required PPE, including a 40-cal arc-flash protective suit for extended periods.
  • Able to operate highly technical equipment and analyze results with include: the accurate reading of multi-color graphs and screens, discernment of colors.
  • Able to listen for and interpret noise anomalies of varying pitch or magnitude.
  • Able to make visual judgments of both a quantitative and qualitative nature at distances from six inches to twenty-five feet in varying environmental conditions.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school education, GED or its equivalent.
  • Must have good interpersonal, communication, leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work independently,  without close supervision.
  • Meet START requirements for the Technician-Electrician II, or Technician-Mechanic Level II Computer skills with current windows program and software related to PdM tools.
  • TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
  • All related training as required by Maintenance Manager.
  • Must have all OSHA, SAFE, SMS, and plant specific training.
  • Lockout/Tagout training Powered Industrial Truck training TOOL, EQUIPMENT & MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: Blueprints, schematics, and sketches. Drill press, band saw, hand tools and power tools such as grinder, vise, pipe wrench, hammers and wrenches.
  • All PPE listed on JHA.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
