We are seeking a full-time BCaBA who is passionate about school-based ABA services, eager to grow clinically under BCBA supervision, and committed to supporting students, educators, and families through evidence-based behavioral interventions.

Where You'll Make an Impact
As a DOE Contract BCaBA at Applied ABC, you will support the implementation of behavioral services within school settings across Hawaii. Under the supervision of a BCBA, you will assist in delivering ABA-based interventions, supporting behavior plans, and helping students build functional skills that promote success in the classroom and beyond.
You will work closely with school teams to ensure consistency in implementation, data collection, and reinforcement strategies while contributing to a collaborative, student-centered approach to behavioral support.
Clinical Responsibilities
Assist in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) developed by supervising BCBAs
Support Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) by collecting behavioral data and assisting with observations
Provide direct behavioral support to students in classroom and school environments
Work with teachers and school staff to implement behavior strategies, reinforcement systems, and classroom supports
Collect, record, and summarize behavioral data to monitor student progress
Participate in IEP meetings and team discussions under BCBA supervision as appropriate
Support de-escalation and crisis response strategies within school guidelines
Assist in training school staff on behavior support strategies and implementation fidelity
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with DOE, IDEA, FERPA, BACB, and district policies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success and inclusion
What Sets You Apart
Required
Active BCaBA certification in good standing
Bachelor’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field
Supervision agreement with a qualified BCBA (as required by BACB)
Experience working with children in school-based, clinical, or behavioral settings
Knowledge of basic ABA principles and behavior support strategies
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in school environments across multiple sites in Hawaii
Reliable transportation and authorization to work in the United States
Nice to Have
Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or emotional/behavioral challenges
Experience in school-based or DOE environments
Familiarity with data collection systems and ABA documentation
Experience working under BCBA supervision in applied settings
Crisis prevention or de-escalation training
Bilingual skills are a plus given Hawaii’s diverse communities
