Nisa Foundation is a community-based charity that has promoted safety, security, and mental wellness for racialized women across Canada since 2014. The organization provides toll-free peer-to-peer counseling services, transitional homes for women & children fleeing abuse or homelessness, and facilitates educational workshops. The Videographer Intern will support Nisa Foundation’s storytelling and digital media efforts by producing high-quality short-form videos and Ramadan ads that highlight community impact, client stories, and donor engagement. This role provides hands-on experience in filming, editing, creative direction, and digital content production within a mission-driven nonprofit environment. Ideal for students in film, media, communications, or digital arts who want to build a strong portfolio while contributing to meaningful social impact campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, film, and edit short-form videos and reels for Nisa Foundation’s digital platforms.
- Produce Ramadan Ad Videos and storytelling reels featuring impact stories and donor appeals.
- Coordinate and schedule shoots with staff, beneficiaries, and partners.
- Edit and format video content for multiple platforms, optimizing for social media.
- Archive raw footage and edited videos for long-term organizational use.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Film Production, Media Studies, Digital Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong videography and video editing skills.
- Proficiencywith editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
- Ability to manage shoots, coordinate interview subjects, and handle equipment.
- Creative sense of visual storytelling, lighting, and sound.
- Experience producing social media content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) is an asset.
- Ability to work respectfully with beneficiaries and maintain confidentiality.

This position is part of the Canadian government’s summer job program.
- Candidatemust be legally eligible to work in Canada(Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or a protected person within the meaning of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.Able to provide a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canadain accordance withrelevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
