9th Grade On-Track to Grad Summer Bridge Program

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Summer Bridge Program Teacher helps rising ninth-grade students successfully transition to high school through academic enrichment, skill development, and student engagement.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to improve students' understanding of math for rising 9th graders who have struggled in the past.
• Ability to differentiate and scaffold math instruction.
• Provide real life, community-based math-focused understanding of math credits needed for graduation
• Develop math-skill-improvement action plan with resources
• Understanding teenage developmental markers

• Ability to engage students to improve their own math learning profile

   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: 

• valid CT CSDE Certification

   

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) 

   

EMPLOYMENT TERMS: 3.5 hrs/ 4 days per week, $41/hour
