Overview

The Manufacturing Generalist is a cross-functional support role responsible for administrative coordination, production reporting, and operational support across the facility. This position plays a key role in supporting Production, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, Finance, and Operational Excellence initiatives.


Responsibilities

Production / Administrative Support:

· Maintain accurate production records, reports, and daily operational documentation.

· Audit daily production reports submitted by supervisors and operators to ensure accuracy of labor, production, waste, and inventory data.

· Enter and maintain data within internal systems for production, inventory, and reporting purposes.

· Prepare and distribute finance, operational, and performance reports in a timely manner.

· Coordinate attendance tracking, scheduling updates, and general administrative support.

· Support purchasing, supply ordering, and inventory documentation as needed.

· Assist plant leadership with meeting preparation, communication, and special projects.

· Maintain organized filing systems for production, quality, finance, and operational records.

· Serve as a liaison between departments to support efficient plant operations.

· Assist on the production line as needed to cover breaks and absenteeism as needed.

 

Quality / EHS / Operational Excellence Support:

· Assist Quality and EHS teams by completing assigned audits, inspections, and compliance checks.

· Support incident investigations and accurately document findings, corrective actions, and follow-up within the CAPA tracking system.

· Assist with root cause analysis activities and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

· Coordinate and support training activities related to safety, quality, and operational procedures.

· Provide training, guidance, and reinforcement to associates on EHS programs, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Act as the site liaison with the corporate EHS team by helping communicate requirements and tracking action items.

· Foster a proactive safety culture through engagement, coaching, and communication across all levels of the organization.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on worker health, safety, environmental performance, quality, and efficiency.

· Maintain OSHA, training, audit, and compliance records as required.

· Participate in safety committee meetings and help drive accountability for plant goals.


Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

· Previous experience in manufacturing, production support, clerical, or administrative roles preferred.

· Exposure to EHS, Quality, or compliance systems preferred.

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and reporting systems.

· Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

· Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Working Conditions/Environment

Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

· Ability to wear required PPE while in production areas.
