The Truck Mechanic, an essential member of the fleet maintenance team, provides safe, federally compliant, dependable, and cost-effective equipment using preventative and predictive maintenance.
JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES:
Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs automotive and other company equipment.
Completes recordkeeping and documentation for all repairs.
Ensures compliance with company standard operating procedures.
Partners with colleagues to determine best practices with the goal of minimizing equipment downtime and route interference during repair times.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
A valid drivers’ license is required.
Must have basic Microsoft Office and computer skills.
Automotive mechanics degree and/or manufacturer CBT training course certificates are preferred.
Two years of experience as a truck mechanic and/or three years of experience in a fleet setting is desired.
Knowledge of preventative, predictive, routine, non-routine, and emergency maintenance for equipment primarily powered by diesel and gasoline engines and auxiliary equipment is preferred.
