About the role
This role is with Anglicare Op Shops, part of our Community & Mission team.” , supporting the growth and sustainability of Anglicare’s volunteer network and community engagement initiatives.
You will play a key role in strengthening the capability, engagement, and reach of our Op Shops by leading volunteer programs, building partnerships, and driving community connection across the network.
Play a key role in growing and sustaining the volunteer workforce that underpins Anglicare’s Op Shops and community impact
Lead end-to-end volunteer initiatives including recruitment, training, engagement, and recognition
Build meaningful partnerships with businesses, churches, schools, and community groups
Contribute to the growth and visibility of the Op Shops network through impactful engagement and communications strategies
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the recruitment, onboarding, and placement of Volunteer Day Leaders across the Op Shops network
Designing and delivering volunteer training, development, and engagement initiatives
Driving volunteer retention and recognition programs to build a strong, connected volunteer community
Establishing and maintaining partnerships with corporate, church, and community stakeholders
Coordinating donation initiatives and community stock sourcing programs
Developing engaging communications including campaigns, newsletters, and storytelling content
Representing Anglicare at community events, partner meetings, and engagement activities
Maintaining volunteer systems, tracking metrics, and reporting on program outcomes
Ensuring compliance with safety, wellbeing, and regulatory requirements for volunteers
About you
Relevant qualification in Community Development, Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or similar (or equivalent experience)
Experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or stakeholder relationship management
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including storytelling and content development
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing engagement or retention strategies
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
Research, reporting, and analytical capability
A proactive, collaborative, and community-focused approach
Experience working in a not-for-profit, retail, or mission-driven environment (desirable)
Current NSW Driver’s Licence
