The Workforce Planning Analyst will possess the knowledge and data and analytics skills to assess workforce data and help the department make the right data-driven decisions. Must be able to gain a thorough understanding of HR related systems and data in order to collaborate with IMSD (IT) colleagues and others to define requirements to extract, transform, and store data to support report creation and KPI management. Additionally, the Workforce Planning Analyst must be able to guide initiatives to ensure HR related systems and applications are optimized to support and measure organizational goals. Must have strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Position maintains confidentiality of all workforce data and works with minimal supervision. Your Future Responsibilities as a Member of our Team
Responsible for managing the collection, analysis, and presentation of data from multiple sources in support of disseminating meaningful workforce data and metrics to business partners throughout the organization.
Act as an internal consultant to HR leadership, business leaders, and other key leaders regarding the implications of workforce analytics and insights.
Build strong internal customer relationships with key HR and business leaders to define and understand strategic objectives.
Develop and define meaningful and actionable workforce metrics to drive workforce decisions, forecasting capabilities, and strategic insights.
Design workforce reports (periodic and ad hoc) and human capital benchmarks and identify patterns and trends that can be translated into actionable insights.
Establish strong cross-functional relationships to fully understand the business and factors of success in the industry; Partner with business leaders and HR leaders to understand workforce requirements in terms of headcount and skills now and in the future.
Partner with departments and provide workforce demographics; respond to data questions for departments, leaders, the county board, and community, as applicable
Support larger HR and business initiatives (e.g., succession planning, workforce development plans and workforce reorganization) by consolidating/integrating data, identifying key takeaways and preparing summary reports.
Manage and act as a resource regarding emerging technologies and methods related to workforce planning. Understand demographic and workforce trends; Research external markets and focus on emerging markets.
Prepares correspondence, presentations, and special reports by gathering, verifying, and summarizing information for review; coordinates special projects as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Intelligence, HR, Business, Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
3- 5 years related experience in HR analysis and research, data, and information to support decision-making regarding the workforce.
Strongly preferred skills and experience:
Previous experience in program evaluation
Previous work with population-level data, including the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey
Leveraging data profiling and descriptive statistics to gain an initial understanding of a new data set
Conducting diagnostic analysis to help understand the ‘why’ behind data trends and results
Utilizing BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau to visualize data and communicate a story
Intermediate proficiency in SQL
Intermediate proficiency in R or Python and methods that bring greater insight to organizational data
Previous experience in predictive analytics, machine learning modeling, and statistical analysis
