About the Role
The Vehicle Test Technician sets up, conducts, and assists in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data meets design specifications established by Customers.
 
Responsabilities
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of braking systems for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and other vehicles
  • Ability to install vehicle components and understand how they function
  • Competence in the physical measurement and evaluation of test components, especially brake discs and brake pads
  • Commissioning and operation of data acquisition systems
  • Installation and troubleshooting of data acquisition systems on test vehicles
  • Performing measurements and understanding the underlying technical principles
  • Monitoring ongoing test activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications and test protocols
  • Ensuring completeness and accuracy of test results
  • Supporting test activities as well as clarifying and defining specifications for new tests
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and using the available safety equipment
  • Ability to work with prototypes
 
Skills
  • Completed vocational training in the automotive field or a comparable qualification, ideally with ASE certification
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in vehicle testing, automotive testing, or a comparable technical position
  • Basic knowledge of analog signal analysis and temperature measurements is an advantage
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Independent, structured, and efficient working style with a strong results-driven approach
  • Team player with a willingness to collaborate in a technical environment
  • Analytical mindset and technical understanding, including the ability to develop hypotheses, evaluate test methods and clearly communicate results
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Valid driving license (B/BE/C1)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business
