About the Role
The Proposal Engineer is a technical and commercial role that operates at the intersection of engineering and sales, responsible for preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals, including drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates. This role combines strong engineering expertise with a commercial mindset.
The role aims to develop customer-focused test bench proposals aligned with technical requirements, working closely with cross-functional teams and contributing to the company’s commercial growth.
Responsabilities
The Proposal Engineer is a technical and commercial role that operates at the intersection of engineering and sales, responsible for preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals, including drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates. This role combines strong engineering expertise with a commercial mindset.
The role aims to develop customer-focused test bench proposals aligned with technical requirements, working closely with cross-functional teams and contributing to the company’s commercial growth.
Responsabilities
- Ensure customer requests are satisfied in the sales proposal.
- Attend customer meetings & conference calls as required
- Be the liaison between engineering and sales departments to ensure the success the delivering of the technical solutions
- Review sales information and determine if there is sufficient information to prepare a proposal
- Distribute sales requests to other departments as required
- Generate sales proposals: drawings (initial concept), preliminary sizing, technical specification, and cost estimates.
- Ensure customer requests are satisfied in the sales proposal.
- Support the sales team during technical meetings, customer presentations, negotiations, and technical clarifications. Attend customer meetings on-site & conference calls.
- Contract review (before order acceptance).
- Lead the project kick-off, internal and external
- Daily collaboration with the Project Management team to ensure a smooth handover of acquired projects.
- Ensure adherence to legal and ethical business practices.
Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design of electrical and/or electromechanical systems
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the integration of machine control systems, data acquisition systems, and/or PLC control logic
- Technical field experience is a plus
- Engineering and Technology – Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to design and produce various goods and services. Ability to read/ understand electrical and mechanical drawings
- AutoCAD (or equivalent) knowledge
- Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documentation
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Full English knowledge
