Job Description
Job Summary Perform hands-on quality assurance and control for mission-critical mechanical systems on fast-paced hyperscale data center projects. Ensure flawless installation, testing, and compliance of HVAC, chilled water, condenser water, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, piping, valves, fire suppression, leak detection, and related infrastructure to meet ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, SMACNA, IBC, and hyperscale owner standards—with zero tolerance for defects or rework.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily field inspections and verify mechanical installations including chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, and fire suppression systems to ensure zero-defect compliance.
- Interface with collaborative stakeholders, including CxA, third-party TAB contractors, controls technicians, owners, and AHJs to support commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST).
- Witness and document critical technical testing, such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), hydrostatic/pneumatic pressure testing, and airflow balancing.
- Support long-term project goals by developing and reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and QA/QC procedures for all mechanical scopes.
- Manage essential quality control reporting, including the identification and resolution of non-conformances (NCRs) and the preparation of turnover packages for client handover.
What you will bring!
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Years of relevant experience: 5+ years of mechanical QA/QC experience, with at least 3 years specifically in mission-critical facilities like data centers.
- Technical: Strong knowledge of hyperscale systems (large-scale chillers ≥500 tons, redundant cooling plants, high-density liquid cooling) and proficiency in ASHRAE, ASME B31.1/B31.9, and NFPA standards.
- Relevant certs: OSHA 30 required; NEBB, AABC, NICET (Fire Protection), or commissioning-related credentials preferred.

Software: Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Procore and Bluebeam is a plus.
