
Value Chain Pricing and Standards Manager
Job Description
Basic Function
Job Duties
- Monitors and develops additional internal standards for optimization and quality assurance
- Responsibilities will include maintaining the weekly, monthly, and annual pricing systems used to generate operational weekly optimization and monthly forward planning, as well as support for the development of annual budget oil flows.
- Develop processes and standards to maintain crude and product economic results across all refineries in the fleet
- Collaborate with Crude Supply, Products, Asphalt, Logistics, Operations, and Marketing teams to develop models, and tools that expose insights to drive actionable results
- Collaborate with the Finance function to ensure alignment between reporting and accounting records where appropriate.
- Use Refining and Commercial knowledge to improve Refining, Commercial and Integrated Business Segment key metrics
- Leverages cross-functional team specialists to improve data system analytics that align with common standards that exist in the Industry.
- Collaborate with the IT function for evaluating and growing capabilities with new platforms to drive user-friendly end-user systems and visibility throughout the organization
- Maintain existing and create any new metrics with dynamic capabilities by period, locations, and references such as prior periods, monthly plans, and budget
- Ensures “Single Source of Truth” approach for pricing and metric standards management
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
Experience
A minimum of eight years of direct refinery experience with at least 3 years in Economics & Planning is required. A full understanding of refinery processes and basic financial acumen are required.
